Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Huddersfield seeks a State-Registered Biomedical Scientist to join their Clinical Biochemistry team. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality lab services and contributing to continuous improvement. Candidates should have an accredited Biomedical Science degree and HCPC registration. Previous laboratory experience is desirable but training will be provided. This role offers a competitive salary range of £31,049 to £46,580 per annum, pro rata, with opportunities for personal development.

Qualifications

• Accredited Degree in Biomedical Science and completed registration portfolio required.
• Experience working in Clinical Biochemistry department expected.
• Previous laboratory experience preferred but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality service in Clinical Biochemistry.
• Participate in out-of-hours service provision.
• Supervise staff and participate in training.

Skills

Experience with laboratory computer systems

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of specimen pathways

Ability to run and maintain laboratory equipment

Teamwork experience

Education

Accredited Degree in Biomedical Science

Registration with HCPC
