Overview

Job Title: Bid Writer. Location: Worcester (Hybrid Working Considered). Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum. Job Type: Full Time, Permanent. An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Bid Writer to join a reputable and growing construction contractor based in Worcester. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for creating compelling written content and a keen eye for detail, who thrives in a deadline-driven environment.

You'll play a key role in producing high-quality, winning submissions across a range of sectors including education, healthcare, commercial and residential.

Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality written content for PQQs, ITTs, and other bid-related documents.
  • Interpret bid requirements and work with technical teams to develop responses that are bespoke, persuasive, and aligned with client expectations.
  • Coordinate bid content from various contributors and ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging.
  • Maintain and update a library of standard responses, case studies, and project information.
  • Support bid strategy meetings, win theme development, and presentation preparation.
  • Proofread and edit content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Manage deadlines effectively and ensure timely submission of all bid documentation.
About You
  • Previous experience as a Bid Writer, ideally within the construction or built environment sector.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Word and PowerPoint); experience with InDesign or similar is a bonus.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and confident working across teams.
