About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our team in Manchester, supporting the delivery of high-quality bids and proposals within the rail and civil engineering sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional to take ownership of the bid process, from initial opportunity tracking through to submission and post-bid review.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions
  • Develop bid strategies and win themes in line with company objectives
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to gather technical, commercial, and operational input
  • Produce compelling, client-focused proposals and presentations
  • Ensure bids are fully compliant with client requirements, governance processes, and industry standards
  • Track, analyse, and report on bid outcomes, driving continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, partners, and clients
About You
  • Proven experience as a Bid Manager within the rail or civil engineering industries
  • Strong understanding of bid management processes and best practice methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce persuasive content
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under pressure
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and influence outcomes
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline desirable (APMP/Shipley accreditation advantageous)
