Morson Talent are proud to be partnering with a leading global defence technology organisation to recruit an experienced Bid Finance Manager for their Optronics & Missile Electronics division, based in Glasgow.

This is a pivotal role within a high-performing commercial team and ideal for a finance or estimating professional who thrives in complex, high-value bid environments who wants to make a tangible impact on programmes that shape the future of defence innovation.

As Bid Finance Manager, you will play a central role in shaping high-value bids and proposals that influence strategic outcomes at the highest level. This role offers hybrid working.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the coordination, creation, and presentation of estimating, costing, and pricing strategies for major bids
  • Provide financial modelling and analysis to support internal bid reviews and approval processes
  • Develop and refine cost models to inform decisions on cashflow, margin, and profitability
  • Drive continuous improvement in estimating tools, methodologies, and financial modelling processes
  • Support pricing and negotiation discussions with government and defence customers under Single Source Pricing Regulations (SSPR)
Skills & experience
  • Proven experience working on complex bids, ideally exceeding £50M
  • Background in Defence, Aerospace, or complex Engineering industries
  • Understanding of UK MOD procurement, cost assurance, and SSPR processes
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling, and Excel-based forecasting skills
  • Familiarity with tools such as ProPricer, TruePlanning, or Primavera (advantageous)
  • Excellent communication skills and able to present complex financial data with clarity and influence decision-makers
  • Eligibility for SC Security Clearance (current clearance advantageous)
