Job description

Role:
The Age UK Norfolk’s Welfare Benefit team helps boost the income of older people so they can afford the care and support they require to remain independent. In the year to March 2020, Age UK Norfolk helped people claim £4,655,170 in benefits. Welfare Benefit volunteers can visit older people in their own homes and care homes or, on some occasions, help either via telephone or video call, by assisting them in completing forms for benefits such as attendance allowance and blue badge parking permits.

The main purpose is to help older people find out if they have any benefit entitlement.

Flexible hours between Monday to Friday, 9 am and 5 pm.

About the organisation:
Age UK Norfolk is an independent, local charity with 75 years’ experience of supporting older people and their families living in Norfolk. They raise their own funds and fundraise locally to provide vital services across the county. Their relationship with other Age UK charities allows them to share knowledge and expertise and actively promote the wellbeing of older people through collective national and local campaigning.

They are proud to be making Norfolk a great place to grow older.
