Job summary

A UK-based educational consultancy is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to support a Year 5 cohort in Rednal, England. The ideal candidate will have experience managing challenging behaviour and supporting children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and ODD. Location: Rednal, B45

Weekly Rate: 460 - 500

Start Date: 05.01.2026

Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Contract: Long Term to Permanent

Do you excel at de-escalation and behaviour intervention, especially with pupils who need consistency, structure and patience?

Long Term Futures are looking for a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support a Year 5 cohort with a high level of SEND-related behaviour needs, including ASD, ADHD and ODD. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone experienced in de‑escalation, emotional regulation and behaviour intervention to make a long‑term impact within a welcoming primary school.

The Role
  • Support pupils with ASD, ADHD and ODD using tailored behaviour strategies
  • Implement de‑escalation techniques and emotional regulation tools
  • Deliver 1:1 and small‑group interventions to improve focus, engagement and self‑management
  • Reinforce clear boundaries, routines and expectations
  • Model calm, consistent behaviour and support pupils during dysregulation
  • Work proactively to reduce incidents and improve learning outcomes across the cohort

  • Confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm, structured way
  • Strong understanding of ASD, ADHD and ODD
  • Skilled in building positive, trusting relationships
