Prospero Teaching currently recruiting for Behaviour Mentors to support Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students (ages of 11 – 16), within an SEN Provision who specialise in supporting students who are disengaged from mainstream education, or those with additional needs: Social, Emotional, Mental Health/and Behavioural Needs.

Daily Rate: £100 per day

Duration: Long-Term (Summer Term)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Monday – Friday (Full-Time)

The successful applicants will have:

  • Ideally experience working with Learning Difficulties, SEMH and/or EBD.
  • Previous experience managing Challenging/Confrontational Behavior.
  • Previous experience working with children and/or young people.
  • Valid and Enhanced Child or Child and Adult DBS check registered on the update service.

The role will consist of:

  • Work with individuals and groups of students, assist in ensuring students are kept on task and complete activities set by the teacher.
  • Deal with behavioural and special needs issues in conjunction with the teacher.
  • Offering support to the class teacher including helping to implement lesson plans, aims and content.
  • Take small group of students for defined activities.
  • Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans.
  • Building good student – teacher rapport.
