Bar Manager

Hedingham Castle is recruiting for an experienced, friendly and confident Bar Manager to oversee bar operations across all our weddings and events set within our historic and unique venue, to ensure consistently high standards of service.

Bar Manager Role Overview

• Operational Management: Full responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the bar, delivering a smooth, efficient and profitable operation.
• Menu & Setup Development: Contribute and develop ideas for drinks menus and bar setups that suit the style and requirements of each wedding and event.
• Stock & Supplier Control: Manage supplier relationships, ordering, stock levels and staff rotas with accuracy, efficiency and fairness.
• Team Leadership: Lead, train and support the bar team to maintain strong service standards and professional presentation.

Bar Manager Candidate Requirements

• Candidates must have proven experience in bar or hospitality management, with the ability to lead a team in a busy, high‑expectation environment.
• They must be organised, practical and confident in both operational and people‑management responsibilities.
• This role is well suited to someone who takes pride in delivering a reliable, well‑run service at high‑end weddings and events.
• Due to the nature of the role, evening and weekend work is essential.
