We are continually looking to increasing our pool of general staff nurses and offer lines of work in most areas both day and night on both sites. Remember, our bank workers take priority over agency workers.

We are looking for patient-focused Nurses with excellent/transferable skills who can demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering and maintaining high standards of care to patients on our wards. The ability to organise a workload, use initiative and work within a team is essential.
You will be registered with the NMC and have a MINIMUM OF 6 MONTHS POST REGISTRATION, NHS EXPERIENCE WITHIN A GENERAL/ACUTE HOSPITAL SETTING OR THE EQUIVALENT IN A NURSING HOME. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Reliability, confidence and commitment are also essential characteristics you will need to succeed in this role.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical
1. Practices in accordance with the NMC Code of ProfessionalConduct and other appropriate guidelines.
2. Adhering to the Trust admission and discharge policies andbe responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development of programmesof care and the implementation and evaluation of these to promote best practicefor assigned patients.
3. Uses phlebotomy and cannulation skills on a daily basis ifcompetent to do so.
4. Liaises with medical staff, allied departments and othermembers of the multi-disciplinary team on the condition of patients and theirtreatment. Is sensitive to the needs of patients, relatives & members ofthe multi-disciplinary team.
5. Observes confidentiality of patient information at alltimes and complies with the Data Protection Act (1984) ensuring thatdocumentation is completed accurately and legibly.
6. Take an active role in establishing and maintainingeffective communication with all disciplines, patients and relatives.
7. Supports and assists the Ward Managerin the establishment of a good working environment and in making the mosteffective and efficient use of staff, supplies and services.
