Overview

Sanctuary Supported Living is recruiting for a Bank Project Worker at our Learning Disabilities Service, Oak Lodge, Norfolk. Location: Oak Lodge, Wayland Close, Attleborough, NR17 2EE. Salary: £13.34 per hour. Hours as and when required. Requisition: 226090.

Sanctuary Supported Living provides a wide range of personalised housing, care, and support services to help people across England live as independently as possible. We are a not-for-profit national organisation that puts customers at the heart of what we do and supports them on their pathways to independence.

Role type: Bank/relief position within Sanctuary Supported Living.

Responsibilities
  • Providing support to help customers with learning disabilities and physical disabilities maximise their own potential and independence
  • Offering one-to-one support as required
  • Promoting safety by undertaking risk assessments and reviewing customers’ needs
  • Regularly assessing customer needs, and writing and updating support plans
  • Developing professional relationships with customers, using clear communication to ensure personal choice, privacy and dignity
  • Delivery of small group activities to promote recovery and well-being
Skills and qualifications
  • Previous experience of working with adults with physical/learning disabilities or high needs
  • Ability to relate and empathise with people with physical/learning disabilities
  • Ability to work effectively in highly pressured situations
  • Experience developing and maintaining accurate records and support plans
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages and internet communications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards is desirable
