Overview

We are looking for an outstanding Bank Housekeeper & Kitchen Assistant with a passion for making a difference to others.

You’ll be working bank shifts both as a Housekeeper and Kitchen Assistant (dependent on which area needs support) at Tupwood Gate Nursing Home, helping maintain a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care.

Tupwood Gate is a Nursing Home located in the quiet residential town of Caterham in Surrey, providing outcome-focused care for adults who may be physically frail, with a diagnosis of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. Tupwood Gate provides short stay or longer-term care, offering award-winning end of life care.

Your role at Tupwood Nursing Home

Your day-to-day…

  • Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
  • Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes
  • Maintain & replenish stock and ensure that equipment is clean & well maintained
  • Employ safe working practices & adhere to health & safety procedures
  • Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
  • As part of the Catering Team, the Kitchen Assistants (KA) will assist in the efficient preparation, service and distribution of meals to patients, staff and visitors providing a quality service of meals, snacks and beverages, using agreed recognised catering, hygiene and safety practices, methods and procedures, under the supervision of the Duty / Head Chef depending on the duties allocated.
