We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locum MMT Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Barnsley. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing essential support to the pharmacy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, contributing to patient care plans, and supporting the overall healthcare team. Experience in developing EPMA (Electronic Prescribing) systems is essential.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the dispensing of medications, conducting medication reviews, and providing clinical advice to healthcare professionals and patients. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, participate in ward rounds, and contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines. You will oversee the safe storage and handling of pharmaceuticals, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide training and support to junior staff. Your caseload will primarily involve ward duties with some dispensary support, and you will play a key role in developing and implementing EPMA systems.
