Overview

We are delighted to offer a permanent Deputy Professional Lead Nurse within our Children and Families Division.

The Children and Families Services Division is committed to a continuous quality improvement agenda. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the division has robust structures, processes and systems in place to support a workforce that is fit for the future and that is competent and able to deliver safe, high quality services and excellent patient care.

Responsibilities
  • You will provide professional leadership to the Nursing disciplines across the groups within the division supported by the Professional Lead for Nursing, including participating in career and succession planning and leading on future development initiatives.
  • You will be part of a team of professional leads within the division.
  • The Deputy Professional Lead Nurse provides advice and leadership on professional issues.
  • Lead on workstreams aligned with skills and experience, in addition to quality improvement in the division.
  • Attend key divisional meetings.
  • Safeguarding.
  • Infection prevention and control (IPC) and Vaccination.
Qualifications
  • Substantial experience of working within children’s services, staff leadership and quality issues within Nursing.
  • Experience of supporting transformation programmes.
  • Highly developed communication and negotiation skills; ability to motivate teams and inspire a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of paediatric community healthcare and knowledge of education and the workforce in a healthcare setting.
