Job description

The primary purpose of the T-Level Industry Placement Co-Ordinator (IPCo) is to:

  • Raise the profile of T-Levels in the North Central London Integrated Care System (NCL ICS).
  • Establish a sustainable system-wide operational strategy for T-Level engagement.
  • Improve local employer/provider relations.
  • Increase number of Industry Placements (IPs) in the NCL ICS.
  • Reduce administrative pressure for staff arranging placements.
  • Ensure quality and consistency of IPs delivery across the system.
  • Share best practice with Government and the wider sector.
  • Build awareness of T-Levels throughout the system, educate, and influence internal staff to support with Industry Placements (IPs).
  • Build a live record of the system’s capacity to support IPs and develop this into a long-term process that can integrate with the IC’s wider workforce considerations.
  • Develop IPs for care, clinical and clerical settings linked to relevant T-Levels.
  • Manage relationships and dialogue with all T-Level providers in the IC’s footprint and partner with at least two for the delivery of IPs.
  • Develop and implement policies and processes to effectively identify, place and support IP’s across the NCL ICS.
  • Support ICs/Trusts to engage with a proportionate number of providers that are local to them and offering T-Levels.
  • Facilitate IPs in various T-Levels across the System, in response to local T-Level provider’s student numbers and to meet the scale of future demand (prioritising Health, Healthcare Science and Science, then Digital and other routes such as Engineering and Manufacturing).
  • Complete tasks that support placements which would otherwise be left to organisations.
  • Monitor placement progress and progression of IP students into roles.
  • Collaborate with the DfE.
