Overview

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Nurse to join the Barnet and Chase Farm research team. The post holder will work in Theme 1 (Oncology) in collaboration with Principal Investigators, Co-Investigators and all clinical staff involved in the care and supervision of patients enrolled on trials. The NAC Senior Research Nurse is an expert nurse within the Trust for the conduct of clinical trials, academic research and studies within the amyloidosis research unit.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a collaborative role with Principal Investigators, Co-Investigators and clinical staff to support care, supervision and recruitment of patients enrolled on trials.
  • Ensure safe set up and recruitment to trials and direct collaboration with clinical and academic teams recruiting to locally approved studies.
  • Provide visibility, expert communication and teaching to engender understanding and support for the research process in Oncology.
  • Oversee a portfolio of Oncology studies, manage junior staff, and lead in communication to support recruitment, reporting of clinical events and collection of quality controlled data.
  • Represent the Trust in dealings with external commercial, charitable and funding bodies in the delivery of trials under their management.
