Job Title: Locum Clinical Ward Pharmacist – Wakefield

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Clinical Ward-based Pharmacist to join our team in Wakefield. This role is ideal for a professional with a passion for patient care and a background in mental health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, and supporting the healthcare team with their expertise.

Responsibilities:

As a Clinical Ward-based Pharmacist, you will be responsible for performing clinical pharmacist ward duties, including medication reviews, patient consultations, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, educate patients on medication use, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings. Additionally, you will contribute to clinical audits, support the training and development of pharmacy staff, and utilize EPMA systems effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • MPharm qualification
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC)
  • Up-to-date with mandatory training
  • Preferable mental health experience
  • EPMA experience
  • Experience working on-site due to limited time for training
  • Desirable but not essential: Clinical diploma, prescriber qualification
