Role Overview

Candidates must commit to the role for at least 18 months, supporting their own development and adequately supporting those they line‑manage and supervise. If you are seeking further clinical training in the next 18 months, please consider whether you can meet the commitment, training and development requirements.

Comprehensive in‑house management, supervision training and CPD will support your development in post and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Step 2 Leads and Lead PWP in the operational management of the PWP team.
  • Hold a small caseload and work with some of the more complex Step 2‑appropriate cases seen within the service.
  • Provide case management, clinical skills supervision and line management for Trainee PWPs and other roles as appropriate.
  • Assist in clinically related admin, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work; lead on smaller projects.
  • Work with people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary; commit to equal opportunities.
  • Recruit, onboard and induct new members of the Step 2 team.
  • Work at least one evening session per week (12pm‑8pm) offering face‑to‑face clinical appointments.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner qualification.
  • Registered with the BABCP/BPS.
  • Supervision experience.
  • A can‑do and compassionate approach to management.
