Job Title: MMT Pharmacy Technician
Banding: Band 6
Location: Aylesbury
Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week, Wednesday and Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until 31 March 2025
Rate: £23 – £29 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MMT Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Aylesbury. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective management of medicines within our healthcare facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the pharmacy team, ensuring the safe and efficient use of medications, and contributing to the overall quality of patient care.

Responsibilities:
As an MMT Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the medicines management team. This includes overseeing the accurate dispensing and distribution of medications, conducting medication reviews, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication use, provide patient education, and support the implementation of best practices in medicines management. Additionally, you will be involved in training and mentoring junior staff, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
  • Management qualification or equivalent experienceand willingness to undertake such a qualification.
  • NVQ Work Based Assessor.
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Accredited Checking Technician(or willingness to undertake).
  • Accredited Medicines Management Technician(recognized qualification).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
