Job description
Overview

The Infusion Suite is a nurse led Satellite SACT unit with 17 treatment chairs that treats Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust patients. You will be working with experienced nurses, consultants and patients ensuring the safe delivery of treatments. The collaborative service is based in a purpose built unit with staff from the Royal Free hospital site running a premier nursing-led unit.

You will be a role model and mentor promoting excellence through practice and taking responsibility for supervision and development of all staff including student nurses and support workers.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise appropriately with all key members of the multi-disciplinary team and service users related to the speciality.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of patient care including the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation.
  • Act as a role model and mentor promoting excellence through practice and taking responsibility for supervision and development of all staff including student nurses and support workers, providing support, advice and training.
  • Support ongoing training and development both in-house and with external courses/programmes.
  • Coordinate and prep for the smooth running of the unit.
  • Pride in keeping a well-run unit.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to liaise with key members of the multi-disciplinary team and service users related to the speciality.
Qualifications
  • SACT/UKONS (passport must be complete).
  • In-charge experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
