5 North is a 41 bedded cardiothoracic surgical ward, specialising in heart and lung transplantation, pulmonary thrombo endarterectomy and artificial heart devices. 5 South is a 35 bedded cardiothoracic surgical ward, specialising in Thoracic surgery Cardiac surgery and Pulmonary thromboendarterectomy.
