Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse - Enhanced Recovery Team
Exciting locum opportunity for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse with the Enhanced Recovery Team based at the Old Town Hall, Catford Road, London. This role is a temporary position spanning 3 months with a full-time schedule Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. The rate is £27 per hour. Applications are sought from experienced registered CPNs at Band 6 level.
Overview
The role involves delivering community-based mental health services and coordinating care to support clients in the community setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver mental health services in community settings, maintaining high standards of care.
- Coordinate comprehensive care for clients, ensuring effective planning and execution.
- Conduct placement reviews and participate in on-ward referrals.
- Engage in joint MDT reviews and assess new clients to triage needs.
- Manage safeguarding concerns and devise effective care plans.
- Implement risk management strategies and provide low-level interventions (e.g., sleep hygiene and psychoeducation).
- Navigate tribunals and oversee medication management.
- Collaborate with the team to discharge planning and attend ward rounds.
- Conduct home visits and liaise with families and carers to ensure holistic care.
- Fulfill duty responsibilities at least once per week, maintaining client-focused service delivery.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Registered Mental Health Nurse with current CPN status and Band 6 registration.
- Active NMC registration and eligible to practice in the UK.
- Experience working in community mental health settings; strong assessment and care planning skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within MDTs and with families/carers.
