Job Title: Ward & Dispensary Pharmacy TechnicianLocation: Sutton, Greater LondonBanding: Band 5 Start: ASAPDuration: Ongoing Rate: £20– £25 per hourWorking hours: 34.5 hours/week, 9:30 to 17:30 Monday to Thursday, 9:30 to 17:00 on Fridays (60 mins break)

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to join our client’s team in Sutton. This role involves working primarily on the wards with some dispensary cover during the day. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services to our client’s patients.

What will your responsibilities be:

The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication management and administration. This role involves conducting medication reconciliation, preparing and dispensing medications, and providing advice on the safe use of medicines. The technician will also collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient care, ensure compliance with legal and professional standards, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) certification
  • Medicines Management Technician (MMT) experience/accreditation
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC)
  • Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
  • Strong understanding of medication management and dispensing processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry advancements
