A regional healthcare provider in Birmingham is seeking an Occupational Therapist for amputee rehabilitation. The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality assessments and treatments. The ideal candidate will have experience in disability assessment and a relevant qualification. The position offers a part-time contract with a competitive salary range.
HCPC registered Occupational Therapist needed within Amputee Rehabilitation to work within the multidisciplinary team providing high quality assessments and treatments for amputee clients. The role involves working alongside Band 7 Occupational Therapists, participating in an inter-disciplinary assessment process, negotiating client-centred goals, rehabilitation interventions and reviews with outcome measures. You will manage a caseload of amputee patients, including non-limb wearers and prosthetic users, with lower and upper limb amputations or limb differences, and liaise with community services regionally including referrals, equipment orders and home visits.
Join the wider MDT to provide Occupational Therapy alongside Rehabilitation Consultant, physiotherapy, prosthetists, counselling, psychology and therapy assistants. The service is based at the West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre in Birmingham, delivering specialist amputee rehabilitation across the West Midlands Region.
