  • As a Registered Nurse within the Hodge Hill Infusion Suite, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients receiving intravenous therapies in our newly established off-site service. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assessing patients before treatment, ensuring they are suitable for infusion therapy and fully informed about the process.
  • Administering a wide range of IV therapies via IV lines, ports and vascular access devices.
  • Managing intravenous catheters and access ports with precision and care.
  • Monitoring patients closely during infusions, promptly recognising and managing any side effects or complications.
  • Collecting blood samples post-treatment and ensuring they are processed according to clinical requirements and sent to BHH.
  • Providing reassurance, education, and clear explanations to patients and their families, supporting them throughout their treatment journey.
  • Collaborating with the wider care team, ensuring continuity and the highest standards of patient care.
  • Maintaining accurate, detailed documentation for all patient treatments and outcomes.
  • Demonstrating expertise with infusion equipment, including IV pumps and monitoring devices.
