Overview

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a B5 Physiotherapist to join our structured rotational programme across acute, community, and urgent community response services. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a broad clinical skill set and gain experience across the patient pathway.

This post will start in the Urgent Community Response Falls Pathway, where you will play a vital role in admission avoidance and supporting people at risk of falls to remain safe and independent in the community.

Further rotations across Newham and Tower Hamlets include: Community Extended Primary Care Team, MSK Service, community Neuro Service, Inpatient East Ham Care Centre, and Emergency Department at Royal London Hospital.

This role offers an excellent foundation to your physiotherapy career, with opportunities to make a real impact on patient care and service innovation.

Main duties of the job
  1. Assessments and interventions for patients with a variety of clinical presentations
  2. Working both alone in the community and as part of an MDT to provide therapeutic, rehabilitation interventions/programmes
  3. Provide appropriate adaptive equipment for patients when indicated
  4. Use of electronic programmes (e.g. Physio Tools) to generate home exercise programmes
  5. To work according to HCPC and CSP regulations as an autonomous professional
  6. To develop good communication skills with patients, their carers, colleagues and professionals from other teams and organisations
