Job summary

A UK hospital trust in Romford seeks a registered Pharmacy Technician to provide high-quality, patient-oriented pharmaceutical services. Job description
Overview

We are looking for registered Pharmacy Technicians who would be based at Queen's Hospital in Romford.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical ward-based duties, including counselling and transcribing
  • In and out-patient dispensing
  • Assessment of patients' own drugs and drug history taking
  • Discharge counselling
  • Carry out routine pharmaceutical duties in a professional manner and provide a high quality, patient-orientated service, both in dispensaries and on the wards
Training and Development

We have a comprehensive training package which will enable you to develop as a clinical ward-based technician. This includes competence in the assessment of Patient's Own Drugs and competence in taking a medication history.

Qualifications
  • NVQ 3 in Pharmacy Services, or equivalent
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Newly qualified technicians or those about to qualify will be considered
  • Hard-working, accurate and some experience of working in a UK hospital
