This maternity leave cover post will be part of a small team providing input across the surgical wards (including critical care) at both York and Scarborough hospitals, as well as services to oncology (Head & Neck and Upper GI) and bariatric/general surgery outpatients.

Responsibilities
- Provide a high standard of health care by assisting in and carrying out a range of individual and group treatment programmes (for which an agreed level of competency has been demonstrated under the direction of a registered Dietitian).
- Undertake a variety of clinical tasks to support the delivery of nutritional care to patients in the inpatient setting.
- Manage own caseload of patients allocated by the supervising dietitian, working without direct supervision and undertaking a variety of delegated clinical tasks, in accordance with agreed guidance/care pathways.
- Undertake a variety of non-clinical tasks to support the Dietetic Service.
- Offer support to patients through effective communication.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
