Duration: Six-Month Pilot (30/09/2024 – 31/03/2025)
Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, occasional weekends)
Rate: £11.00 – £13.00 per hour
Job Description:
We are launching a new specialist rehabilitation support service, RAAR Outliers, at the Royal London Hospital and are seeking a Band 3 Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our dedicated team. This service will operate alongside the established Rapid Access to Acute Rehab (RAAR) service.
What your responsibilities will be for this Physiotherapist role?
As a Band 3 Locum Therapy Assistant you will work closely with senior members of the RAAR, Outlier, and ward-based multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to provide comprehensive care and rehabilitation to complex neuro trauma patients within the acute hospital setting. You will assist in implementing therapy interventions prescribed by physiotherapists (PT), occupational therapists (OT), and speech and language therapists (SLT). You will support patients with personal care activities, including washing, dressing, toileting, and eating, ensuring their comfort and dignity. You will contribute to patient assessments and support the development of individualized care plans. You will maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
