Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our fabulous team in the Firle pre‑assessment unit.

Are you a kind, compassionate individual who puts the patients at the centre of everything you do? Are you organised? Are you accurate at recording patient information? Are you great at phlebotomy? Are you good at communicating abnormalities to your registered colleagues? Are you able to work in a busy department? Are you great at communicating within a team but also able to work independently? Main Duties

Undertaking all of the necessary observations and blood tests requested by the registered nurses.

Accurately recording all data collected in the patient pathways.

Escalating any abnormalities identified to registered colleagues.

Maintaining clean, tidy, and well stocked areas within the department.

Being flexible in role and working with colleagues to make sure the department runs smoothly.

Person Specification
Qualifications / Training (Essential)
  • GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths
  • Care Certificate (or willing to work towards)
Qualifications / Training (Desirable)
  • 5 GCSE grade 4 or C and above or equivalent
  • Evidence of mandatory and statutory essential training skills, for example, Basic Life Support, manual handling, infection control, fire etc
  • Education and training to NVQ level 3/Work based diploma or equivalent
Experience (Essential)
  • Relevant experience of working in Health or Social Care Environment delivering personal care or health care experience gained through an education programme
Experience (Desirable)
  • Relevant experience working in the NHS

  • Ability to work under instruction from a Registered Professional without direct supervision and support
  • Digital Skills, use of systems and ability to use physiological recording equipment and record findings
