On behalf of our client, the Sourthern Health and Social Care Trust, MPA Recruitment welcomes suitable candidates for the role of Band 3 Catering Supervisor

The successful candidate will assist in the supervision of the catering team within Daisy Hill Hospital

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure completion of hygiene records and documents as per HACCP. (Hazards Analysis critical control)
  • Ensure staff maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness of all catering areas.
  • Support and assist as required in preparation and service of food and beverages for staff, patient's visitors and hospitality functions.
  • Ensure food regeneration and service to patients and staff is carried out to the required standard.
  • Assist with the management of stock; ordering, receipt, rotation, storage, stocking up and stock taking as required.
  • Supporting staff in the operational use of all catering equipment.
  • Ensure processes are followed for wash-up of all equipment, machinery, crockery and cutlery associated with the catering service.
  • Monitor and support staff with appropriate disposal of refuse.
  • Report maintenance issues, machinery breakdown and pest sightings immediately
  • Carry out risk assessments and ensure safe systems of work are adhered to.
  • To carry out service audits, patient and customer surveys in all areas periodically.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Supervisory experience in the public or private sector.
  • Kitchen/Pantry experience
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours as the needs of the service demands including weekend and bank holidays on a rota basis
