On behalf of our client, the Sourthern Health and Social Care Trust, MPA Recruitment welcomes suitable candidates for the role of Band 3 Catering Supervisor
The successful candidate will assist in the supervision of the catering team within Craigavon Area Hospital
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure completion of hygiene records and documents as per HACCP. (Hazards Analysis critical control)
- Ensure staff maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness of all catering areas.
- Support and assist as required in preparation and service of food and beverages for staff, patient\'s visitors and hospitality functions.
- Ensure food regeneration and service to patients and staff is carried out to the required standard.
- Assist with the management of stock; ordering, receipt, rotation, storage, stocking up and stock taking as required.
- Supporting staff in the operational use of all catering equipment.
- Ensure processes are followed for wash-up of all equipment, machinery, crockery and cutlery associated with the catering service.
- Monitor and support staff with appropriate disposal of refuse.
- Report maintenance issues, machinery breakdown and pest sightings immediately
- Carry out risk assessments and ensure safe systems of work are adhered to.
- To carry out service audits, patient and customer surveys in all areas periodically.
Qualifications and Experience
- Supervisory experience in the public or private sector.
- Kitchen/Pantry experience
- Willing and able to work flexible hours as the needs of the service demands including weekend and bank holidays on a rota basis
