A leading NHS healthcare provider in Enfield is seeking an Endoscopy Decontamination Technician. The role involves assisting in the reprocessing of flexible endoscopes, adhering to high standards of decontamination, and supporting clinical staff. The Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust has the largest NHS decontamination facility in the UK, which is based in Enfield.
We have two vacancies available for an Endoscopy Decontamination Technician on our shift Monday to Friday 14:00 to 22:00.
The hours are 37.5 a week but flexibility is a must for this role.
The unit has the capacity to process 14 million surgical instruments and 140,000 flexible endoscopes a year and we provide a service to NHS and Private Hospitals.
You will be a valued member of the team assisting our clinical colleagues by providing them with decontaminated flexible endoscopes to enable them to care for patients.
The role of the Endoscopy Decontamination Technician is to assist in the day-to-day reprocessing (decontamination) of flexible endoscopes required for clinical use. Decontamination Technicians are expected to follow demonstrated training and work instructions to ensure production is to a high standard.
Following appropriate training and assessment undertake all assigned duties pertaining to the reprocessing (decontamination - cleaning, disinfection packing / storage) of flexible endoscopes of varying descriptions and types.
