A Decadent Affair is an independent dessert company specialising in cakes, cheesecakes, brownies and many more indulgent treats that bring joy to every occasion. We’re looking for a passionate Bakery/Pastry Assistant to join our growing team and help us create unforgettable desserts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of products.
• Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (mixers, ovens, etc.).
• Decorate cakes with care and creativity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food‑safe work environment.
• Clean dishes and utensils as required.
• Support the lead baker/pastry chef in special projects and custom orders.
• Occasionally assist with packaging, labelling, and customer orders.

Qualifications

• Previous baking/pastry experience (professional or home‑based).
• Previous experience of cake decorating preferable (professional or home‑based).
• Strong attention to detail and a love for precision.
• Ability to work mornings, weekends, and during busy holiday seasons.
• Team‑oriented attitude and strong work ethic.
• Passion for baking, desserts, and delighting customers.
