Job summary

A leading technology consultancy is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer with expertise in Databricks for a public sector project in the North East of England. The ideal candidate will design, build, and optimize data pipelines in Azure. Responsibilities include maintaining scalable data solutions, collaborating with teams to ensure compliance, and optimizing performance. SC Clearance is mandatory, and candidates ideally should be based near Newcastle. This contract is outside IR35 and runs for 6 months.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer in Azure environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Databricks and Spark.
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, and related services.
  • Experience in Public Sector projects.
  • Must have active SC Clearance.

Contract: 6 months
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne (2-3 days onsite per week)
Expenses: Not reimbursable
Domain: Public Sector
Clearance: SC Clearance is mandatory

Role Overview

  • Experience in Public Sector projects.
  • SC Clearance (must be active).
  • Must be SC Cleared
  • Candidates ideally based in or around Newcastle
  • No expenses will be covered by the client.
