Overview

Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: Glasgow - 2/3 days per week in the office
Salary/Rate: Up to £405 per day inside IR35
Start Date: 06/10/2025
Job Type: Contract until end of 2026

Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading financial services clients! They are currently looking for a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join their team for a contract until the end of 2026.

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  1. Strong proficiency and experience in AWS based Machine Learning technologies (AWS SageMaker, Lambda, S3, EC2).
  2. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Docker containerisation for ML model development/deployment.
  3. Data preprocessing and feature engineering expertise.
  4. Programming skills in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, Torch, scikit-learn).
  5. Experience with distributed computing for large-scale ML workloads (Spark).
  6. Statistical analysis and model evaluation capabilities.
Desirable Skills/Experience

Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

  1. Experience with experiment tracking and model registry tools (MLflow, DVC).
  2. Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  3. Familiarity with data visualisation tools and techniques.
  4. Advanced knowledge of ML algorithms and their optimisation.
  5. Previous experience in the banking sector is mandatory.
