Overview

NLC7 £30,467 - £33,142 Pro Rata

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of North Lanarkshire Council’s Museums & Collections. We are currently seeking an Audio-Visual Technician to be responsible for the provision of audio visual content and support across all museum sites.

You will be working within the Curatorial and Exhibitions team to deliver high quality exhibitions and events in museum venues throughout North Lanarkshire. Based within Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life, you should have a qualification in a relevant subject at degree level or equivalent experience, along with experience of devising and implementing creative ways to utilise AV as a method on interpretation to enrich the visitor experience. You will also be able to produce film and sound from capture to edit. Along with a good technical knowledge of AV equipment you will be able to install equipment, perform regular checks, diagnose faults and facilitate rapid repairs.

You will be well organised with the ability to multi-task and have a good knowledge of workplace health and safety. In addition, you will be self-motivated, working well on your own initiative as well as good team working skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.

Responsibilities

Work Pattern

Tuesday and Wednesday, 8.30am to 4pm (30 minute unpaid break)
