Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Automation in Whitstable, Kent to support product development and production improvement. The ideal candidate has a BEng in Mechanical Engineering, hands-on experience in manufacturing, and proficiency in 3D CAD tools like Creo. Responsibilities include participation in NPI projects and quality improvement activities as part of a well-established engineering group. This is a permanent role offering competitive salary between £40,000 and £50,000.

Qualifications

  • Extensive hands-on experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment involving tooling and fixture design.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems like ISO 9001 and AS9100.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in new product introduction projects delivering stable process design.
  • Support quality improvement activities including addressing non-conformances.
  • Investigate and solve quality issues with adherence to industry standards.

Skills

Hands-on experience in manufacturing or engineering
Ability to use 3D CAD software
Familiarity with industrial control concepts
Experience with MRP/ERP systems
Strong communication skills

Education

Minimum Level 6 /BEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar
