Automation Engineer

Location: Near Dunball / Wembdon / Bridgwater

We are currently looking for an Automation Engineer to join a global manufacturer of complex mechanical equipment, specialising in the design and manufacture of customisable materials for highly regulated industries. This is a key new position created to support a new production line and strengthen on‑site automation capability across the site.

With major new projects underway and long‑term growth planned, this role offers excellent visibility, technical influence, and progression opportunities.

Essential Requirements / Experience

• Strong PLC programming and controls experience (Siemens TIA Portal & Allen Bradley essential)
• Background in automation, mechatronics, controls, or related engineering
• Ability to deliver automation or controls projects from concept to completion
• Experience with data monitoring / OEE systems
• Confident troubleshooting and supporting automated production equipment
• Proactive mindset and willingness to lead future automation improvements

Salary and Benefits
