Qualifications

Autism Graduate Teaching Assistant - Full Time Manchester

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Start Date: ASAP

Are you an experienced or aspiring Autism Graduate Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role in a supportive school environment?

We are working closely with a number of fantastic specialist schools across Manchester who are seeking passionate and reliable Autism Graduate Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering inclusive learning
  • Helping manage behaviour in line with school policies
  • Providing personal care support where required
  • Creating a safe and nurturing classroom environment
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND (preferred but not essential)
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach to learning support
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - or be willing to apply for one (we can assist with the process or cover the cost)
