A public organization in Stratford-upon-Avon is seeking an Audit and Governance Manager to manage internal audits and governance services. We have an exciting opportunity to be part of the Governance and Programme Management team as the Audit and Governance Manager. Reporting into the Head of Governance and Programme Management, this role will manage the internal audit programme, deliver governance and secretariat services for key LLDC Committees and subsidiary bodies, support risk management and manage the Corporation's work in relation to the Modern Slavery Act.
As this role will work across the entire organisation, it is essential that you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to work as part of a team and build relationships both internally and externally.
You will have skills relating to supporting boards, committees or governance bodies in a secretariat role including commissioning, drafting and proofing papers.
You will also have a solid understanding of the principles of project or programme management and risk management.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable understanding or experience of working with internal auditors and the principles of an internal audit regime.
