Are you a qualified ACA or ACCA Audit & Accounts Senior looking for a role with genuine variety, flexibility, and balance? This expanding independent firm in Richmond is seeking an experienced, hands‑on professional to join their friendly and supportive team.

This opening has arisen due to continued growth and the upcoming departure of a long‑serving senior team member – creating the perfect opportunity for someone eager to step up, take on more responsibility, and become an integral part of a close‑knit firm.

The Audit and Accounts Senior Role

This is a varied Audit and Accounts Senior position offering exposure to a broad client base and a healthy mix of work:

  • 60% Audit – Plan and lead audits through to completion for a diverse portfolio of SMEs, charities, and not‑for‑profit clients.
  • 30% Accounts Preparation – Prepare statutory and management accounts under FRS 102 1A for limited companies and unincorporated entities.
  • 10% Corporation Tax – Prepare corporation tax computations and assist with ad hoc tax queries.

You’ll also have the chance to mentor and train junior team members, working closely with managers and partners while developing early leadership skills.

About You

You’ll be a confident, qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) who enjoys variety and autonomy.

You’ll thrive in a smaller, people‑focused practice where everyone's contribution is noticed and valued.

You should have:

  • Proven experience in external audit and accounts preparation (FRS 102 1A).
  • A background in a small or medium‑sized firm – comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available).

Experience with software such as Caseware, Digita, Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks would be beneficial, but training can be provided.

The Culture

This firm genuinely values its people. The office environment is relaxed and supportive, with an emphasis on trust, flexibility, and professional development.

The partners are approachable and hands‑on, encouraging new ideas and providing direct exposure to interesting clients across a wide range of industries – from education and healthcare to professional services, manufacturing, and leisure.

You’ll also enjoy a true work‑life balance, with a hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 days from home once probation is complete).

What’s on Offer
  • Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)
  • Benefits: Pension, death‑in‑service benefit, paid professional memberships (ICAEW/ACCA), hybrid working (2 days WFH per week), and discounted local parking
