Corporate Audit Associate – Birmingham
Salary Guide: £32,000 - £40,000

An ambitious and well-established national accountancy firm is looking to expand its audit team with the addition of a Corporate Audit Specialist in its Birmingham office. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified auditor who is passionate about delivering high-quality audit work, building client relationships, and progressing their career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The successful candidate will be part of a growing team, working with clients across a variety of sectors including corporate, not-for-profit, and pension schemes. You will take responsibility for delivering assignments, supporting and coaching junior colleagues, and contributing to the development of both client relationships and the wider business unit.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting audit engagements from planning through to completion
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients on a day-to-day basis
  • Reviewing and testing financial systems and controls
  • Leading fieldwork and supervising junior team members
  • Preparing financial statements in line with UK GAAP (FRS 102)
  • Highlighting risk areas and providing practical recommendations
  • Participating in audit findings reports and client meetings
  • Supporting team and firm-wide initiatives and mentoring junior staff
What We’re Looking For
  • Part-qualified ACA / ACCA (actively studying)
  • At least 2–3 years’ experience in an external audit environment
  • Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP; IFRS experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; Caseware desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A collaborative mindset and desire to support others
  • Enthusiasm for delivering exceptional client service
  • Willingness to travel across the Midlands and occasionally to other offices
