Overview

We are recruiting for an Audio Typist to join the Secretarial Team for up to 22.5 hours per week within the Ophthalmology department, based at York Teaching Hospital. You will provide support to the Medical Secretaries and their Consultant Teams.

Responsibilities
  • Typing clinical and administrative letters and carrying out general office duties.
  • Working to support the Medical Secretaries and their Consultant Teams in a busy Ophthalmology department.
  • Maintaining good organisational skills, prioritising the demands of a busy office and managing time and workload effectively.
  • Working unsupervised and communicating with the medical secretary team on a regular basis.
Qualifications
  • Excellent administration and audio-typing experience/qualifications are required.
  • A good understanding of general office duties.
