Overview

My client, a market leading, innovative Environmental Consultancy, is seeking an Associate Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to manage a Water Team based in Bristol. Hybrid working is available.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Engineers in Bristol.
  • Oversee projects spanning flood risk, drainage, hydraulic modelling, nutrient neutrality, flood alleviation and river restoration schemes across the UK.
  • Check, complete and amend technical work related to flood risk, drainage, hydraulic modelling, nutrient neutrality, flood alleviation and river restoration.
  • Support the existing technical team and coordinate projects; update Clients with project progress.
  • Develop new business opportunities with the support of the team; promote company services; mentor and train team members.
  • Bid proposals and tenders for relevant projects.
  • Ensure delivery of projects including natural flood management and renewable energy projects where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong academic background in a relevant discipline.
  • Achieved or near Chartered status.
  • Extensive experience with a UK-based Consultancy specialising in flood risk, hydrology, hydraulic modelling, flood alleviation, drainage or river engineering.
  • Driven to develop new business opportunities and lead projects while mentoring team members.
