Overview

Kenton Black International is excited to be supporting one of the world's leading consultancies in their search for an Associate Quantity Surveyor/ Associate Director to lead the leisure and commercial team.

The Company: A dynamic, privately owned, non-corporate SME multidisciplinary, well established over a century ago, expanding their Birmingham office. Employing circa 70 staff across multiple offices, their multi-disciplinary expertise includes project management, cost consultancy, building surveying, employer’s and tenant’s agent services, CDM advice, and principal designer support. They take pride in delivering bespoke solutions, ensuring each project benefits from tailored guidance and expert oversight. Responsibilities
  • Pre and post-contract duties, including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.
  • Employers Agent; overseeing project contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms, managing risks, and coordinating stakeholders for successful delivery.
  • Completing feasibility studies and writing procurement reports.
  • Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Producing monthly post contract cost reports and interfacing with the client at all project stages.
  • Participate effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes.
  • Perform cost risk analysis and provide input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accounts.
