Overview

This job is with Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company. We are seeking high‑calibre Associates to join our expanding team in London, with work across Infrastructure projects and programmes. You will work to help deliver a diverse range of highly complex projects and programmes, based in our London office and collaborating with client teams across the South-East region. Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate substantial experience of infrastructure project/programme management across the lifecycle, including project management principles; delivering to client objectives; contract/budget management; leadership and teamwork; financial management and project controls; schedule management; benefits alignment; health, safety, quality and environmental management; preparation and presentation of status reports. Practical understanding of CDM and its application.
  • Provide strong leadership, capable of developing teams and leading others in challenging environments; identify and address capability gaps.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across clients and partner organisations, building long‑term trusted advisor relationships.
  • Apply strong problem solving, analytical and numerical skills to translate complex problems into workable delivery solutions.
  • Drive and commit to achieving solutions, including the ability to work under pressure and motivate others.
  • Create, manage, and modify project/programme plans; plan, communicate, and organise multiple work streams and communicate with senior client representatives and teams.
  • Maintain a growth mindset, promote inclusive environments, and act as a role model; identify client opportunities and solve challenges independently, including cross‑service opportunities within the business.
Qualifications

Beneficial Experience:

  • Experience of procurement and managing NEC contracts
  • Experience of managing contractors, consultants, and other advisors on infrastructure projects
  • Experience of consultancy or client‑side project management
  • Familiarity with public sector organisations, non‑departmental or arm's length bodies relevant to infrastructure

Preferred qualifications:

  • Degree level qualification in a management, construction or infrastructure related subject, or equivalent experience
  • Professional affiliation with the APM, ICE, or an equivalent professional institution
  • Project management certification (e.g. APM / PRINCE2 / MSP)
  • NEC Accreditations or qualifications
  • CSCS / equivalent
