Overview

Associate Project Manager (Highways) — Permanent — North Yorkshire or West Yorkshire — £55,000 - £70,000 / year + benefits

An Associate Project Manager is required to join a design consultancy in the North-East. Candidates can be based out of North Yorkshire or West Yorkshire but must be willing to attend the office in North Yorkshire regularly.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of Highways projects using both JCT and NEC contracts, covering public and private sector Highways infrastructure projects.
  • Assist with tender applications.
  • Agree contract terms and prepare contract documents.
  • Attend and lead meetings regularly; discuss and solve issues such as defective works, contract term ambiguity and other disputes as required.
  • Support the finance team with project financial management.
  • Manage and administer NEC contracts.
Qualifications
  • Relevant qualification(s) in Construction Project Management or Construction Management.
  • Experience working on both public and private highways, infrastructure and/or civil engineering projects with NEC3 or NEC4 forms of contracts.
  • Experience delivering a portfolio of contracts valued at £5m or over.
  • Strong stakeholder and contractor management skills, technical report writing skills, pre- and post- contract knowledge.
  • Full UK driving licence with vehicle.
  • Ability to work both as a team and independently under your own initiative.
