About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive Associate Fire Engineer to join their established fire safety consultancy team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of fire risk assessments, fire engineering solutions, compartmentation surveys, and fire remediation projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage client relationships effectively. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, contribute to business growth, and develop expertise across a broad range of fire safety services in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Leading and supporting a team of fire consultants
  • Offering advice to the Partner
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of PQQs and bid documentation
  • Ensuring quality assurance and regulatory compliance for clients
  • Conducting site visits to deliver a wide range of fire consultancy services
  • Providing fire safety advice, guidance, and training to clients
  • Coordinating with Enforcing Authorities on behalf of clients when necessary
  • Advising clients on fire safety standards and best practices relevant to their operations
  • Contributing to the growth of the Fire Consultancy Service and supporting management with financial reporting
Qualifications
  • Minimum Level 5 qualification achieved in fire discipline
  • In-depth understanding of UK fire safety regulations
  • Extensive experience in technical project execution
  • Member of IFE, IFSM, or a comparable professional body
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects with a proactive and diligent approach
  • Demonstrated success in line management and staff development
  • Skilled in cultivating new client relationships and generating business opportunities
  • Client-facing with a focus on maintaining high standards in technical delivery
  • Capable of fostering long‑term client partnerships
  • Experienced in prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines
  • Collaborative team player who is outgoing, adaptable, and highly motivated
