Are you an experienced leader in workforce development and education, looking to make a lasting impact across Homerton Healthcare and North East London?

We are seeking an exceptional Associate Director of People Education & Training to lead our Trust-wide education and development agenda. This senior leadership role reports directly to the Chief People Officer and works in partnership with the Chief Nurse and Chief Medical Officer, ensuring Homerton remains an employer and training provider of choice in NEL. The vacancy has arisen due to a substantive post.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of workforce development at Homerton, supporting delivery of the People Plan and our Future Together Strategy. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our people are supported, developed, and empowered to deliver excellent care.

Main duties of the job
  • Lead the strategic development and delivery of statutory, mandatory and professional education across the Trust.
  • Oversee medical education, nursing recruitment and retention pipelines, apprenticeships, digital learning, and leadership development.
  • Manage education funding, apprenticeships levy arrangements and income-generating activity.
  • Build and sustain strong partnerships across the system, ensuring alignment with local, regional and national priorities.
  • Provide visible leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of education and workforce specialists.
  • Ensure the work and priorities of the education and training agenda is rooted into the key deliverables of the People Plan
  • Support greater alignment of the education agenda with the wider teams including people services, organisational development, culture and inclusion teams

Education / Qualifications Essential

  • Master's degree in a relevant subject area or equivalent experience
