A national financial institution is seeking an Associate Director – Data and Information Governance in London. This role involves providing leadership for data governance frameworks and ensuring data quality and security across the organization. THE ROLE
In this position you will be responsible for providing leadership to the operational delivery of work ensuring the continuous improvement and development of the data risk and governance frameworks, metrics, controls and standards for the British Business Bank.
You will be responsible for all aspects of data governance oversight, including in new platform, monitoring, all data processes including designing operations and monitoring and landing with business 4 new capabilities of the data management office.
Fulfiling content and stakeholder management aspects for a senior committee requiring governance across all aspects of D&A team activities (Currently around 30 active workstreams), is also required as is designing from scratch new data process and operationalising several, with leadership responsibility across the enterprise.
You will also be responsible for implementing strategies, policies, and processes to ensure data quality, security, data protection, AI governance and records management activities, across the bank. This involves taking lead strategic role in developing data governance frameworks, managing data and information policies, leading the data and information governance steering committee and leading supporting forums.
With experience at a senior level of Information/data management capabilities including risks and controls, you will also be able to demonstrate experience in developing compliance and performance strategic frameworks using defined metrics and benchmarking and coaching others to deliver/ execute. Ideally you will also have experience in Information Governance/ Data Management Office or equivalent, and in designing, owning and embedding data and information strategy across sub capabilities such as metadata management, data literacy and glossary.
